Sakunami, 3 Generations

Sakunami style kokeshi of a set of 3 dolls done by three generations of Hiraga craftsmen. The Hiraga family is the "head" family in the Sakunami style kokeshi.

The tallest doll measures 10" tall with a base diameter of 1-3/4" and is the work of 6th generation craftsman Kenzirou Hiraga, date of birth, November 17, 1918.

The middle doll measures 8-3/4" with a base diameter of 1-1/2", made by 7th generation craftsman Kenichi Hiraga*, dob, Sept. 14, 1943.

The last doll measures 7-1/2" with a 1-1/2" diameter, crafted by 8th generation maker Teruyuki Hiraga, dob, March 1, 1972.

This set is NEW/mint.

*Unfortunately, Mr. Kenichi Hiraga passed a couple of years ago. This wonderful set cannot be made again.
